Nashua River Watershed Association Update
Mr. Rick Muehlke provided the Board with an update on the efforts of the Nashua River Watershed Association. It is the goal of the NRWA to protect source water in the Southern portion of the Nashua River Watershed. The USDA Forest Service is funding the project with a Forester Innovation Grant. The goal of the project is to identify surface and ground water within the 9-town study, present the information to local boards and commissions, and inform GIS identified property owners of the high quality water resources on their lands.
The NRWA will hold a meeting on December 6, 2007 in Holden with Town Boards and landowners whose property has been identified by the NRWA.
The Board continued with the remainder of the October 15, 2007 meeting.
Approved: November 5, 2007
